The Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research, a PERMIT consortium member, has published an article in its online magazine on personalised medicine. It provides an overview, in lay terms of the basis of personalised medicine, its fields of application, its current challenges, its costs and the ethical questions it raises. The article also highlights European initiatives on personalised medicine such as the ICPerMed and the PERMIT Project and provides outlooks on the future of personalised medicine.
