The official kick-off meeting (KOM) of the PERMIT project, supported by Horizon 2020 (grant agreement n° 874825) took place on Friday, January 24th in Paris, France. All consortium participants and partners attended, and actively participated in discussions on all seven project work packages. Presentations were made by work package leads on their respective areas of work.
PERMIT will begin with a scoping review that will map personalised medicine (PM) research methodologies along the PM research pipeline, and identify gaps where recommendations on standards will be essential. Discussions during the KOM focused on the operational definition of PM research that will be applied within PERMIT as well as the scope of each stage of PM research programmes.
The new PERMIT project website was also presented during the meeting, and participants were enthusiastic in providing feedback for its optimisation and sustainability.
