Recommendations for more robust and reproducible preclinical research in personalised medicine Workshop

PERMIT WP5 hosted its main workshop, “Recommendations for more robust and reproducible preclinical research in personalised medicine,” on September 1st, 2021.

Through the previous consultation process, five main points were identified as the focus for the recommendations; 1. Relevant translational models, 2. Robust model development, 3. Updated regulation, 4. Transparency and education and 5. Relationship with clinical research. The broad panel of approximately 20 experts discussed how to move towards more personalised and patient-centric preclinical research to improve translation to patients. The aim is now to draft and publish guidelines on the necessary steps to achieve this goal.
